Francesca Attardo is a restorer-conservator of the National Heritage, graduate at Opificio delle Pietre Dure of Florence in 2000. Francesca began her career as an external collaborator with Opificio. In 2002 she started her own business under the name FRANCESCA ATTARDO – RESTORATION AND CONSERVATION. After the end of her studies she has achieved satisfactory results  due to the experience gained in the field of restoration and conservation, ranging from buildings  restoration to archeology, and paying special attention to some minor arts (mosaics of hard stones, micromosaic and ancient objects in ivory, bone, horn, pearl, coral, amber, tortoise). In particular to be highlighted: the restoration of the wall mosaics of the Cathedral of Trieste (XII sec.); intervention on floor mosaics at the Roman villa Domitiana Positio in Porto Santo Stefano (I cent. BC and I cent.  AC); conservation work on the mosaic floor of a caldarium (II sec. AC) found in the locality of Saturnia; cooperation to the conservation project for the restoration of the mosaics of the Roman villa of Rabaçal (Penela Portugal - IV century AD), candidate to be one of the hundred archaeological sites protected by the World Monument Found. Without neglecting the restoration of numerous stone objects and the teaching experience of “Tecnique and restoration on inlaid marble” with the School for Restoration of Mosaics of Ravenna, branch section of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence. Over the past five years the business has been directed toward counseling. As technical director manages the implementation of the restoration and preservation in accordance with the project supervisor. She performs technical and organizational requirements necessary for the realization of projects. She deals with questions concerning the preliminary and final projects ; management of work; support to the activities of the project supervisor.
