Paper doublures decorated with filigree in manuscripts belonging to an Omanite collection

The course (40 hours) is mainly practical and is open to conservators and students in conservation with

knowledge in bookbinding techniques. During the course participants will construct one or more models of

Islamic manuscript featuring the decorative apparatus of manuscripts belonging to an Omanite collection.

• The course language will be Italian and English. Maximum 12 participants.

• The course fee is 550,00 euro and covers all material expenditure (paper, leather etc.) and personal insurance.

Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own tools kit. Members of Associazione Bastioni or Porta

Coeli will have 10% discount on the course fee.
